- I'm a man with a sincere love and respect for his country. People often ask why I have pictures of John Wayne hanging in my home and at work. I tell them it is because John Wayne symbolizes what I believe America to be. Strong, upstanding, courageous and free. Watch any of the old movies with the thought that John Wayne represents America and perhaps you will see what I mean.

Questions for Politicians running for office
If you have a politician come to your door, ask them the following questions. If they cannot answer them to your satisfaction, then vote for someone else! These questions were created by Joe Soucheray. Columnist for the St. Paul Pioneer Press and talk show host of "Garage Logic". Find it at www.am1500.com. The following are the "Garage Grilling".
- Which section of the paper do you read first ? (If they answer the Editorial or Metro section, thank them for their time and move them on to the next house)
- Can the Government solve most of our problems ? (If they answer yes, thank them for their time and move them on to the next house)
- Have you ever attended the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs ? (If yes, thank them for their time and move them on to the next house)
- In thirty words or less, why are you running ?
- Do you believe in limiting the growth of Government to the Personal Income Index ?
